Fresh Start

Well, I started school again last week. I’m now a Sophomore (though technically a Freshman ughh), navigating my little way towards a Bachelor of Art. Not really too excited about my classes except Painting Workshop, which seems really cool and something that I’ll enjoy. The other class subjects are interesting to me (Women and Gender, French, and Japanese Art History), but actually attending the classes is something I could do without lol. I just want to do art all the time and nothing else, but that obviously cannot happen. At least now anyways. And it makes me sad ;(

I actually uploaded my second painting from my art class, which I’m pretty happy with. Kind of different than what I usually do. The assignment was combining drawing with painting, so that is my result. This past week was also my first time drawing a live model..nude! Mwahaha, ’twas interesting I suppose. I might post that too once I finish it more. I’m looking forward to my Sophomore show at the end of this year, though I don’t know anything about it, it still seems like it will be fun. My first show! Aww!

In other news: got a lame ass parking ticket, the book Women’s Lives is very boring but Women Across Cultures is pretty awesome, went to a Native American concert/storytelling thing, fell in love with India Ink, drank many Slurpees, and bought some new art supplies which made me happy :D

Time to go do French worksheets and read about Japan. Woo.

One never knows what doors open on this journey. Some are best left shut, sometimes the contents follow you down the hall. Enjoy what you can as you go, because you never know what the next door will open. Just remember when you make your choices, that they are yours to make, and ultimately yours to live with.
You have alot of talent. Looking foward to seeing more of your work. Even if you don’t always enjoy your studies, try to get something from each subject.

    Carpe Diem
